Platte DeAlton Lyman is the son of Amasa Mason Lyman and Eliza Maria Partridge Lyman. He was born August 20, 1848, in a wagon on the Platte River. He married his first wife, Adelia Robison, in the Endowment house in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 18, 1867. He married his second wife, Annie Maude Clark, on October 24 or 25, 1880, in Logan Utah. He died of cancer November 13, 1901, in Bluff, Utah.(Lyman P.192)
