Clara A. Martínez received her doctorate from the Department
of Language Reading and Culture in the College
of Education at the University
of Arizona, as well as a doctoral
minor in American Indian Studies.
Previously, Clara earned an MA in Language Literacy and Culture in the
Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College
of Education, Stanford
University, and a BA in Mexican
American Studies at Sonoma State University, California. A credentialed Bilingual K-12 teacher for 22
years, Dr. Martínez has 12 years of cross-cultural multilingual K-12 classroom
teaching experience informing her curriculum development and teacher training
work toward increased diversity in Education.
