1. Identify Map and Globe Symbols: Cardinal Directions; Compass Rose; Mountains;

    Rivers; Lakes; Towns; Roads.

2. Name the Vocabulary Words in Navajo, Ute and Spanish for the Cardinal Directions.

3. Locate the local community, surrounding communities and major geographic features

    of the SE Utah and Four-Corners region on a map.

 

2nd Grade

2-0302  Observe and Describe Weather.

SCOPE & SEQUENCE

LESSONS      

1. Name Weather Phenomenon in Navajo, Ute and Spanish.

2. Measure, Record, Graph and Report Changes in Local Weather utilizing

    Navajo, Ute and Spanish words for Weather Conditions.

3. Describe how Weather affects people and Animals, and Know about Navajo and Ute

    Stories Told During Hibernation Season.

4. Identify the Relationship between Producers and Consumers and Supply and Demand.
